41  Hello, we are using few H777 here in Canada and some concerns were raised by one of the licensed amateur. Please clarify
"These radios are using frequencies above 460 mhz UHF band which is in the GMRS and FRS bands in Canada. They are the Retevis H-777 which are rated for 5 watts power or PEP. They also have detachable antennas.
Industry Canada which governs amateur radio restricts radios used in these frequencies to 2 watts on GMRS Channels and ½ watt on FRS channels which are programmed into these handhelds see Image 1
They do not possess a sticker either on the radio itself or an appropriate E-Certificate issued by Industry Canada certifying them for use
In Canada. See note attached.
Please note I have no issues with them being used, however I am a licensed amateur and do not wish to chance losing it by using a radio not
Sanctioned in this country."
Your prompt reply is highly appreciated.
Dear Karthik Muthu,
H777 frequecy isn't lincense, recommending RT27 FRS lincense radio for you
RT27 link: http://www.retevis.com/rt27/
The new talkaround function (firmware v.1.4.6) has a bug.
It keeps the old ctcss tone in tx.
Also tones should be switched together with the frequencIes.
We don't understand correctly, what's emitted tone, it's talk permit tone?
Could you send us your codeplug and a vedio to email(email@example.com)? let us check it, thanks
