Martina ChenRB38V communicationReviewed in Tunisia on Jun 28,2021In the video, the application of RB38V in outdoor work scenes is introduced. The appearance is small and exquisite, the call is simple, and it is easy to carry.WOW! Great improvementsReviewed in United States on Feb 25,2021I purchased one of the RB38V HT radios because is has a removable antenna. I compare these to the RT27 radios also on MURS band. I have used these radios for business, travel, and hunting. Both the 27 and the 38 need to be programmed for high power. They ship on low power, 0.5 watts. You need a programming cable, and just a little patience to get it all to work and understand the programming. I use is all the time to change CT codes and change to high power, 2 watts. The good: the RB38V has a physically smaller battery. No way did I believe that it was more mAh. But testing shows just that. I have gone days, not two but three and more days with the radio on standby intermittently listening to NOAA and testing range a couple of times each day. The battery seems to last forever. I don't know how they did it. The radios communicate about 1 mile between each other when out side. If one is elevated the range goes way up. Using an external magnetic auto antenna and an elevated hand held radio and several miles are common. The ability to use longer range antennas and external antennas improve performance 2-3 fold. (ok decibels!) The bad: nothing to report yet! These RB38V small handheld hidden display MURS are great performers.
