HA1G
The HA1G can transmit to pretty much any repeater in my area with no issues at all. I'm able to pull in transmissions that none of my other radios can pull in. Reception is super clear and my transmissions are super clear when doing a radio check. The body is built so very good I can tell you it feels more like a high end professional radio. The antenna is removable if you take out the small hex screw under the protective band if that is something you want to do. I have tested the antenna against my Nagoya and found it to be very much identical so the stock antenna is very well tuned.I'm not the best at posting reviews as you can see but I do try. I do highly recommend pickup this radio if your looking for a nice well built GMRS radio.

very well made
The Ailunce HA1G is now my new go to radio for when I'm talking on GMRS. I do have about five other GMRS radios and two of them are very well made also. The other three are just impulse purchases that I wish I would not have done.

One Amazing GMRS Radio
I have to say when I saw this GMRS radio on the manufactures website I had to make the purchase to check it out. The specs are just amazing. I do own the Ailunce HD1 ham radio and found it to be built like a tank and has very well done firmware.

Great Gmrs Radio!!!
This is a great radio. It is well-made, has fantastic audio, and more controls than you may ever need. It has one drawback, however, it will not transmit DTMF tones to control/program a repeater. It does provide DTMF signaling, though. I purchased my HA1G directly from Retevis.

Worth it
After owning several HT radios from brand like Motorola, Yaesu, Baofeng, and various other make and models. I wanted a dedicated GMRS only radio and Revetis knocked this one out of the ball park. I also own several other Revetis HT radios like the RA89 and R3TS (digital/DMR).The radio feels solid and well made. It also has a nice heft and weight to it as you can feel the radio fits nicely my hands. First off let me tell you that if you are looking for a GMRS only HT, this is the one to get. The channel on top is a deal breaker. I'm not sure why other manufacture make this features into the hand held radios. Trying to switch channels via the up/down keys gets old and cumbersome, especially if you have big hands like I do. I tested this radio on a Surecom SWR meter with the stock rubber ducky antenna and the SWR is dead on perfect. I'm about to TX/RX all of my local repeaters with no issues. There is a local repeater that is about 40 miles from home and I can hit it just fine with decent sounds and very little static. Mind you this is for the stock antenna. There are a few quirks about this radio, as with any HT. There will always be little issues with any manufactures. The first issues with this radio is that with the factory CPS, you cannot change the default GMRS channels names, this including the repeater's channels too. But within the radio itself, if you select the channel and alias. You can change the default channel name. Just can't do it with the factory CPS.The second thing about this radio is the display colors. I'm not sure who decided to select the foreground and background color. It's very hard to read the screen at times especially if there's any sunlight (inherit problem with TFT screens.)The 3rd quirks is the antenna attachment. It's your standard SMA male. Not sure why have the mounting screw sticking so much out from the radio. But there is a reason, for that. If you look at the base of the stock antenna, it's recessed and the base sits firmly inside the radio housing body, thus how it achieved it's IP rating. Though I haven't really tested this radio by dunking into a bucket of water (not yet) but I have used it in the rain and it performed fine with no issues. With that being said, let's talk about the little features that Revetis/Ailunce got it right. With it's IP rating, if you plan on using the belt clip. You have to unscrew the two back small machine screw in the back. Putting the belt clip on can be a bit of challenge. If you look closely where the screw goes into, there's a small o ring that is inside the screw hole. Also help to prevent water intrusion. Couldn't take a photo of this since my phone can't zoom in macro that great. So it's the little things like this that gain my attention to details. As I mentioned earlier, the stock antenna is actually really good straight out of the box. But if you want to make this radio perform I suggest you get a aftermarket antenna. But keep in mind, if you replace the stock antenna with an aftermarket one, you will lose the IP rating and I don't suggest you use this in the bathtub. So on the topic of aftermarket antenna, I tested 3 antennas with this radio. First one is the well know Nagoya 771, Diamond SRH77CA, and Comet SMA24. For some reason, the Nagoya test with a high SWR and I don't recommend that antenna. Both the Diamond SRH77CA and Comet SMA24 is the one I highly recommend. As I mentioned about using an aftermarket antenna. You will get a gap between the antenna base and the radio. Though I think this is mostly cosmetic, you will again lose the IP rating (not water resistance). What I did was I use a firewall grommet made for automobile when you drill a hole thru the vehicle's firewall. The grommet is there so you don't cut or chafe the wire thus causing a potential short or electrical fire. I took two photos of the grommet sitting around the antenna and with the Comet antenna, being smaller and skinnier. I was able to shove the grommet deep inside the radio housing and I believe will prevent water intrusion from the antenna hole. You can get most grommet for around $0.40 cent each here on Retevis. As with most GMRS only radios (firmware locked). Most manufactures use the same inside circuitry and guts as your regular HAM. They just flash a firmware where you can't transmit on the HAM frequency(2m/70cm) but you can listen. Here's a another caveat to this radio. There is a "unofficial firmware" floating around the net, that if you flash this radio. You can use this radio on the HAM bands (FYI, it's illegal to be using a GMRS radio on HAM bands and vice versa since both are not approval on the latter between the two.)A quick note about the CPS, for anyone that own and messed with DMR radios/CPS. The factory CPS has a very similar design to those with DMR. You can create zones/banks, scan list, and groups. But each zone is only limited to 16 channels like how some Motorola are.Overall, this is great GMRS only radio that will do more than what you need. Also the radio can hold 1000 channels (if you really fill up the 1000 empty slots, it's time for a new hobby) Will also look at getting another unit to my collections.Great job Revetis/Ailunce.

Great Radio
This works great. I used it a couple times on some jeeping trips and I had no issues. It seems to be well built and has a nice quale feel about it. Time will tell how long it lasts.
