• How far can Retevis RT22 cover?

Generally speaking, it will reach to 0.5-2 miles. However, please note that the communication range will be affected by the environment and terrain.

• Can Retevis RT22 work with other FRS walkie talkies?

Yes, RT22 can work with other FRS walkie talkies. For example, both RT22 and RT21 two way radios are FRS radios with 16 channels, they can communicate with each other on the same channel and CTCSS/DCS. RT22 is compatible with Retevis RT68, RT21, H777, etc.

• If I buy many sets of Retevis RT22, will them pair up to others?
Yes, RT22 FRS radios have been programmed to the same frequency and CTCSS before shipment, so they can work together when out of the box.

• What's the difference between RT22 and RT47?
1. RT47 is IP67 waterproof, which can be fully submerged in fresh water to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes, while RT22 is only life-water-resistant. (Life-water-resistant is suitable for daily use, it can handle water droplets and raindrops, but not immersion)
2. The battery of RT47 is 1100mAh, while the battery of RT22 is 1000mAh;
3. The size of RT47 is bigger than RT22, and RT22 is compact and smaller;
4. The belt clip of RT47 is fixed by screws, while the belt clip of Rt22 is easy to install, no screws required;
5. The earpiece connector of RT22 is Kenwood 2 pin, while the earpiece connector of RT47 is not Kenwood 2 pin, which is the same with HD1.

• How to open the VOX function?
1. Switch to channel 7;
2. Turn off the radio;
3. Press the "+" button, while turn on the radio, after hearing the voice prompt "VOX ON", release the plus button;

If you want to close the VOX function, please repeat the same steps.

• How to use the emergency alarm?
When you press the left emergency alarm button, you can call help when there is danger. The local alarm is determined by the volume set by your own walkie-talkie.

• How to change the broadcast from Chinese to English?
On channel 16, press the "+" key to turn on the intercom and switch between Chinese and English voice prompts.
