We have owned 4 sets of walkie talkies for when we are doing outdoor activities. This set has the best sound quality by far. Voices are crisp and clear, volume is good, they can be spoken into at a normal voice volume. Feedback is minimal. Just an overall good quality sound. We were able to use them with the volume turned down to a fairly low setting and still converse over a distance of roughly half mile without any issues.
I would say that these are great for people who want to keep in touch on a trip, at work, or even just out and about. They should hold up to most backpack or camping trips, no matter what the weather. Also, you can use a solar power bank to charge these when on longer trips.
This two-way portable radio set has all of the features that I was looking for and performs exactly as described. I could not be happier with my purchase!
I use it for mountain bike trips, always connected, easy to use and resistant to rain.
We bought 10 of these walkies to use at our new Warehouse/Pipe Yard that is +/- 8 Acres and they work wonderfully. We have guys on forklifts, who work in the rain, and these have held up thus far for 3 months, or so. Reception is clear throughout the 8 or so acres.
these radios are excellent for harsh environments they take a beating, and they call and vibrate feature is perfect for loud environments they work perfect.
We purchased these radios to have Communications between our pool, and the house, when our grandkids came to visit. They worked flawlessly. I could let the adults in the house know when someone needed any assistance when getting in and out of the pool. Sound is clear and strong. And they are rechargeable. Even left one out in a heavy rain and they still working perfectly. I would definitely urge these to be used in any similar situations.
Communication on jetskis to shore and other guides batteries last all day more than 11 hours
Very easy to use. Clear reception. I can confirm they work through many cinder block walls! Seem highly durable and water proof, but have not had to confirm that part (fortunately!). I am happy with them, and would stack them right up against Motorola or Midland in regards to performance. Battery life with very light usage (less than 10 minute talk per day) equates to 4 DAYS. Very good!
Battery life 4+ days in standby. Water resistant, durable, clear as a bell miles apart.
