This is my 2nd set to order. When handing a radio to a couple worker or family member I appreciate a simple one. if you want them to sit on a specific frequency get a programming cable and set the 16 channels however you need to. They do allow for repeater setting where you can transmit and receive on separate frequency on a single channel.

Used these on a cross country drive with my husband in one car and me in another. These worked really well, and it was nice to be able to chat and communicate critical information without fumbling with cell phones and waiting for a call to connect. The USB charger allowed for charging in the car on the go, and the included earpiece was very convenient. All in all these served their purpose wonderfully!

Outstanding Inexpensive 2-way Communication

I got this set of walkie talkies when I needed a way for my elderly father-in-law to reach me when he needs assistance and I'm in another part of the house. They're perfect for the job, plus they're inexpensive. They don't have a lot of bells and whistles, which is perfect. Too many gimmicks might confuse him, so simplicity is great. Whenever you change the channel, whether intentionally or accidentally, a voice tells which channel you've switched to, and that way you can always make sure both sets are on the same frequency without guess or having to struggle to see tiny numbers. The unit recharges via a stand which connects to the power source by a standard USB plug. My only very minor quibble is that it should come with an adapter so it can plug directly into a standard household electrical outlet. Charging through the computer is slow. I can see this set will come in very handy this coming summer when I'm out working in the yard and I'm needed in the house. Great buy.

These are well made professional walkie talkies. In the box, you will find everything that is needed to provide efficient and reliable communciations between two persons. I am quite impressed with this product. One note: I had planned to use it when I play with my 2-1/2 year old great grandson but this appears to be a bit too advanced for a younger child. I recommend it for an adult sportsman or worker that requires instant communication with another person. I like it!
