Neighborhood kids use these to communicate and play and held up well thru the summer. Ages 7-14 and they don't seem to have any issues figuring out how to use them. Will buy again as they get lost or need more.

For their size, they have great range. We run an airsoft field, and it has a lot of trees and obstacles, and the radios have good range and very clear. Battery life is great, and they come with extra batteries for each radio, you can charge the batteries in the charger without the radio, so that's really nice.
