This is proving to be a good radio for the price. Some of the menu items are not intuitive, and I needed to do some research to figure out if I needed those features or not. I do like that all the buttons are on the face of the radio so they are easy to see and use. Sound quality is excellent, both sending and receiving. Matched with a good antenna I'm able to broadcast clearly for over 40 miles in simplex. And it's rugged too. I have it mounted in an old Willys Jeep that shakes and bounces a lot, but the radio continues to work perfectly.

I have two of these radios and have really only used one of them. I found them to be fairly easy to program once I learned how to do it. I am using one of these radios as a base unit and am hitting repeaters 20 to 30 miles away consistently with a homemade antenna hanging in the window of my house. I got the second one to install in my truck, but haven't got that done yet. These seem to be good radios for the price. The only problem I have with them is the speaker quality is not the greatest, but it's not that bad. Overall these are good radios for the price.

I love the multi-channel display and having the 50 watts in case I ever need it. Remember, always use the lowest power setting, always. It sounds really nice as well. The display is easy on the eyes when it is sunny in the cab.
It truly is worth its price! Oh.... and be sure to buy a quality antenna.
