Seems a bit nicer than the similarly-priced 510XL it replaced and competed against. More features, like the emergency 9/19 function, mean monitoring a couple channels is a no-look affair. And the auto-squelch means this radio isn't showering me with static. Seems so far to be "deafer" to vehicle electrical noise, which I like. Overall, however, this appears the have way bigger ears than the 510XL; I'm getting way more chatter on a K40 K30. Very happy with this.
