The new version of RT98 adds a VFO mode function, which can adjust the transmitting and receiving frequencies. You can edit frequencies and set VFO modes via software.
Please note: The default frequency of VFO is 144.0125Mhz or 435.0125Mhz. VFO is invalid in Freenet and PMR446 mode bands.

After watching many YouTube videos and waiting for the perfect sale of $56.00 I bought this. Program is difficult with the current software. But CHIRP stepped up to the plate and is now compatible with the right cable from retevis. I’m using an installed NMO on the roof of my car which makes a great ground plane. At 15 watts slapping all the local repeaters and reports of very good sound quality. I very happy with the performance of this unit. And it’s small enough to go into a bug out bag as well. No problem with it getting hot.
