Love this radio so much, i bought two...
Great little radio. Perfect for setting up a pack radio.
This is an excellent radio for people who want to get into ham radio which requires a license to operate on these frequencies. Small and compact and was a good buy for price . Now I'm getting my ham radio license to start on my journey of being a ham radio operator which I always wanted to do but never did. I definitely recommend this radio to others starting out to become a licensed ham radio operator. Radio is perfect for setting up as a base station radio.
I have to admit I've been pleasantly surprised by this radio. The documentation isn't good, but once you figure everything out, it works great. I had to unlock it to I could use the ham bands in the US, but that was easy. I've been using it for regular rag chews and it's been great. Definitely needs to be paired with the right antenna.
it is a lot better than the midland or the anytone. Quick easy setup with supplied programming cable, and super fast shipping arrived two days sooner than expected delivery date.
