I got these in hopes of getting maybe a five mile range out of them. We live in a valley so there’s some minor twists and turns on the road, but nothing huge or sharp. I had my grandson sit at the dining room table while I got in my car and started driving. We played the “can you hear me now” game for just shy of a mile and that was that. You’d have to be living in the prairie with nothing in your way to get any distance on these. They’re still handy on the homestead and I do recommend them if you have a large farming area or something like that. I bought the ten count. One set went to work for my employees to ask me questions when I’m in the office. One set went to my grandson to play with for his birthday. I have one set for the house and barn. The others sit here because the range is way too short. But we will eventually use them around the homestead I would imagine. They are crystal clear when close, small and easy to carry. But like I said, the range is actually terrible. At least here.

We've only had these about a week but so far they are out-performing the previous sets we've had. We have a large retail garden center and our crew members need to be able to communicate with each other all day, wherever they are on our one-plus acre property. These are great walkies. I love that this set includes so many. It's a very convenient set. The charges hold longer than I anticipated. The charging station is very convenient. I especially like the inclusion of a flashlight, which is very helpful and more powerful than I expected. These are great for using on our property and have been added to our emergency stash. We have more powerful larger ones that we use for very long range (miles) and have existing licenses to use them, so no problem being able to use these immediately.
