Tested 5 km and then 7 km on a road with obstacles, buildings and light mountains. good signal, it sounds good! I also tried it 10 kilometers away on the road and it sounds very good but only in some specific places where they are surely within an interference limit. excellent! recommended!

The radios are ran on a paving construction site everyday. Great radios. One of the chargers came didn’t work. Emailed the company someone from there emailed me back and had a new one out to me in a couple of days. The speakers with the two pack are not good would recommend buying different speaker mics for them

We used while traveling, was able to get at least two of travel before recharging. Clear communication. Sturdy construction.

Used for hunting worked great for 2.5 miles away used my onX so had a really close idea how far the other radio was definitely worth the money.

his is my updated revision. The Rt86 has Low Med and Hogh power settings that need to be set in Programing software. Under “TX Power” I also went ahead and programed my side key to act as a toggle for the setting while I am out hiking camping …etc. Retevis responed to my review and email. They offered me a full refund for my purchase after over 1 year of my purchase. This info could have been stated in the manual. However I found the radio came programmed to high. Product works fine! Customer service fast! Lastly they take care of the customer and stand by their product and orders. I did not take the refund! And you have gained a loyal customer in return !

These are a good quality standard walkie talkie, but with a bit better range than hobbie or toy type walkies. They have a nice look to them and seem to be of quality construction. Good set of walkie talkies.

These walkie talkies are great. I've used one in standby for 8 hrs a day for a week now and the battery still has two bars. I have also used it at church during this time. Noaa frequencies are built in and easily switched to.

Use with neighborhood. Battery lasts 3 straight days with minimal use, 2 days with steady use. Great radios for everyday activities. Pretty decent range as well, well above what I was expecting.

While I suspect this radio is more like 8 watts than 10 I have not seen any power tests on this model so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The 2 way radio industry is as shady as they come. The manufacturers all lie about the true power output and they all say their radios go way further than they do. I would like to see Revetis advertise the output power and show a power test of ALL their radios. If they did I gaurantee their U.S. sales would skyrocket as they would be the only honest radio seller. Americans value honesty and transparancy. While I wait for this miracle I will say that this is my favorite radio that I have. It's 10W high power (i guess) and this radio is more compact than any other 10W radios that I've had or tested. The radio feels good in the hands and no issues at all so far. The hidden display is really nice and I hope that all future radios will have it also. The sound is crystal clear and sounds better than a phone. I hope they come out with a 10w thats even more compact in the future. Until then this radio is the best out there and deserves 5 stars for sure. Please come out with a 6-way gang drop-in charging cradle. I can use the USB pack on the job site, too many wires all over the place.

The radios are great and out of the box work fine. If you keep it out of the box settings, the ease of use is great. Not much is configurable unless you have a programming cable. Then it gets more complicated and not much in documentation. If you already are familiar with the radio terms and what the settings mean, you can easily change the settings. If you don't, then you will not find much help or documentation about the fields or what they do. You only have two buttons you can program for things like turning on the light, Scan, Monitor, etc. Really meant to be preset for users so they can't change them. I am extremely happy with them. Distance is great, battery life, build quality, all are great.

Been using 2-ways for years, and this brand has always been the best. Now, this is the first time I’ve ever bought and used the RT86, and by far they are the most high powered longest distance radios I’ve ever used. I run a service team on a highrise multi structure apartment complex close to Houston and we have a large property littered with large brand new buildings. I’ve tested edge to edge and center structure to center structure and we’ve not lost any quality or signal during transmission.

The build quality and performance of this radio seems pretty good. But as you can see in the picture, the belt clip it came with one of them was not assembled properly so it will not attach. The pin is supposed to go through both holes but it only goes through one. Oh well.

I love the size and the sound quality is outstanding. They charge very fast. Easy to use. No static when getting any calls. They performed wonderful. I love that they glow up when you turn them on. I love the walkie talkie radio
