6, Support VFO Mode
The new version of RT98 adds a VFO mode function, which can adjust the transmitting and receiving frequencies. You can edit frequencies and set VFO modes via software.
Please note: The default frequency of VFO is 144.0125Mhz or 435.0125Mhz. VFO is invalid in Freenet and PMR446 mode bands.

I've purchased four of the RT98 2m rigs so far. We're using them as dedicated APRS radios. They have good receivers with good front end filters. The power is adequate and the squelch is fast enough for packet. We use a sound keyer circuit for PTT. The lack of VFO isn't an issue for my purposes and the small size is great for vehicle applications. I haven't gotten CHIRP to work but the Retevis software works fine. Planning to buy more.
