The antenna is an omni-directional base station antenna, supports the GMRS frequency band, and has the characteristics of high gain, wide bandwidth, low standing wave ratio, waterproof, anti-corrosion, high-strength high-quality glass fiber reinforced plastic package, and strong wind resistance. It is an ideal base station antenna, easy to disassemble and use.
1. High-quality fiberglass antenna; strong sealing, no cracking; high-strength anti-corrosion; waterproof; suitable for outdoor harsh environments.
2. Fiberglass base station antenna supports GMRS frequency band (462~467MHz); SL16 connector, compatible with Retevis RT97 repeater, Retevis RT97L 25W waterproof GMRS repeater.
3. Omni-directional base station antenna, gain 4.5/7.2 dBi; wide coverage; more suitable for outdoor long-distance communication. The best GMRS base station antenna
4. The VSWR is less than 1.5; it makes the received information clearer, reduces the damage to the antenna, and prolongs the service life of the antenna.
5. Two-section detachable high-gain fiberglass antenna; easy to disassemble and assemble; bringing you a more stable signal.

The hardware is decent, but I don’t think it is stainless steel. Assembly was easy. I used dielectric grease where the two fiberglass sections go together and used conductive anti seize for the decoupling radials. The antenna is fed with 25 feet of LMR400. I’m getting next to no reflected watts at the radio.
Well made, does a good job. Very pleased.
My friend and I live several miles apart and have handhelds that a only hit each other when we're on our rooftops. We both got one of this antenna and mounted them up high and now we get great reception even with 5w handhelds. Also hit some repeaters 50+ miles away!
Great product, highly recommended
Too large for my HOA and travel bag, I set it up in the living room window and used a handheld transceiver. Works way better than the tape measure antenna.
Great antenna. Easy to mount. Low SRW < 1.2 on Simplex GMRS and > 1.7 on repeaters. Good range.
GMRS users. Buy this Antenna! It works amazing. Just getting started with GMRS and using a handheld still. Bought this antenna and attached it to a 10 ft mast on my roof. The signal is infinitely better. Lots of compliments during net check ins considering I'm still running the 10 watt handheld. I live in the valley and I am hitting RT97S repeaters 40 miles away with great signal.
easy to put together and work good
This antenna work really well. I'm quite a ways from the local repeater and I can hit it Everytime. I do think a lot of gmrs opperaters will buy and like this antenna. Thank you again
Good value antenna with low SWR. It hits our local repeaters well and with good coax is a very efficient antenna.
Works as advertised, great gain.
My SWR is at 1.02 with no adjustments needed! It is mounted on my roof. I could not ask for a better first antenna after getting my license two weeks earlier. Easy to assemble and mount.
No tuning or adjustment needed. Works out of the box and has low SWR. I did reach out to support with a few questions and they got right back to me with tons advice and guidance from experts.
Arrive on date promised by. I agree with others on mounting hardware . I upgraded with 2 5/16 x 2inch ubolts .and dilled out plate to 5/16 size . Went up smoothly. Now I hit repeaters 30 and 36 miles away north and south. With great clarity. As other said responding to my radio checks. SWR is 1.01 across all GMRS frequencies. Best purchase I made for the most important part of a communication station.
Solid antenna, works great
Works great with my Retevis RT97S REPEATER
I have this antenna installed at the top of a 25ft DX Engineering fiberglass mast with a 50ft KMR 400 cable feeding a 50 Watt BTECH UV-50X2. Before final install I put a Surecom 102 between a 6ft LMR 400 cable and my KMR 400 feedline. I was getting 45 Watts at 1.24 SWR. That is great IMO for the price. I have range tested all around my town with a 20 Watt Retevis RA86. After clearing up some RFI/EMI in the garage where this all sits, my system using this antenna is loud and clear to 5 miles. The area I live in is rolling hills, thick tall forest and dense suburbs bordering rural farms quickly being developed into more homes. I haven't tested past 5 miles yet. But, I think I might need a more powerful mobile radio in my area to get loud and clear much farther past that.
I have two, works great, no problem, just make sure the ends connect properly and you used also lighting arrest. Be carful when putting one up.
Great deal for the price.Great SWR on both bands, no tuning needed.
Swr is just a hair over 1.1, hitting a repeater at 45 miles away through rolling hills and a very big city.
This antenna works great for GMRS frequencies and has consistently had a decent SWR. It's light enough that I'm able to float it 20' up in the air on a simple telescopic pole system.
I’m talking on repeaters 40 nautical miles away extremely clear, reception is amazing. Will update later for the longevity. It seems to be a very well built antenna, It’s 38ft high, has lmr400 cable, and 20w mobile.
Really good little antenna. I use it as a base antenna for our Retevis GMRS repeater RT97S we use on our camper, and bought another to mount as a dual band antenna low mount for the house to replace the emergency antenna now. Very pleased with its performance.
Added this antenna to my antenna farm for my GMRS rig. Receives really clear and transmits very well also. Included clamps help with installation.
This Retevis MA02 Antenna is very good Especially for the price. I would have to say that in order to beat the performance of this antenna you would need to run a Collinear Antenna. A beam would be better as well but directional. Tested this antenna on Analyzer which looked great. Also compared it to a homebrew 1/4 groundplane using copper wire and so-239 connector and a Arrow Open stub Jpole. I used a field strength meter. This Retevis antenna put off the strongest signal and most uniform. And not only does that antenna look great on test equipment it also works very well with my RT97s repeater and some KMR400 coax. This antenna is only good for 400MHz.
Easy install. Range is great and the compactness allows it to be put almost anywhere!
