These are a good quality standard walkie talkie, but with a bit better range than hobbie or toy type walkies. They have a nice look to them and seem to be of quality construction. Good set of walkie talkies.

The Retevis RB689 walkie-talkies are a solid choice if you're looking to stay connected during outdoor adventures. The long-range feature actually works pretty well—whether you're camping, off-roading, or just out on a hike, you won’t be left shouting into the wilderness.
These walkie talkies are great. I've used one in standby for 8 hrs a day for a week now and the battery still has two bars. I have also used it at church during this time.
The build quality and performance of this radio seems pretty good.
