I have two HD1's and I am very happy with them. I hope they continue to be available now that the HD2 is out. It would be a shame if they went out of production. right now I am considering picking up a third as a spare, just in case. 73's
Yeah my Ailunce HD1 came in on VHF at 9.8 watts on high, 4.7 watts on medium, and 1 watt on low. On UHF, it was 7.6 watts on high, 3.8 watts on medium, and 0.89 watts on low. Very happy. My simplex range is approximately 12km and I can hit repeaters 70km away. I can talk to my friends who live 40km away from me no problem.
Everything so far that I have purchased has been very good. I have 6 HD1 Radios that I purchased some years ago and they have been excellent. I would like to see a Firmware upgrade on the software for a brighter Screen and a FM/DIGITAL mixed mode like the RT97P Repeater has. Also, a 20 or 25 watt version of the Rt97 repeaters.
My radio had arrived and I absolutely love it. It feels like a proper radio and sounds great, i have also gotten good reports of the radio working the repeaters really well.
I am extremely satisfied with the radio that I had purchased. It has been working flawlessly, and all the extra accessories are a huge help. I have recommended this same radio bundle to several friends as well. My order did take a little longer to ship out due to some part availability, but when I had reached out to ask about the delay, I was quickly provided an update as to why my order was delayed. Shortly after I got the update my order was available to ship out, and arrived very quickly. Overall, I am extremely happy with my experience ordering from Retevis, and will order again the next time I am looking for radios or accessories.
