great lifesaving radios. these are a must not only at home, but you can take them anywhere.
In today's environment communication is very important. We live in a very rural area. Yes, we have our phones but sometimes we get no service. This is a real-life solution. These radios are great. It is over 600 feet to our front gate to our driveway. The sound came in clear and loud.
These Radios are pretty decent, they feel substantial and hold up to the weather as they state.
Just what we needed to be on a private channel offshore
Workmanship is absolutely fine, true to Retevis. No edges, nothing sticks out, they don't smell when they come out of the box. The devices have 200 channel memory locations, although only 16 are pre-programmed when delivered. The handheld radios can be charged either in the charging cradle or via the USB cable Modulation and range are adequate, the antenna supplied does its job, but there are much better antennas. In urban areas I managed a good 1 kilometer from my apartment, in open fields 10km is no problem. The devices are simply top notch!
