We continue to use these radios in our sites around the country. Started out years ago with the "teen" series and have moved into the newer "20" series as well as testing some of the Noise Suppression units in our manufacturing areas. The variable channel feature and carrying distance across 300k+ sq ft warehouses into the yard for spotting trucks has been great for production. Don't be afraid to step away from those units that cost $100's each as these units at a fraction of the cost perform just as well. Yes, equipment in a production environment gets damaged over time - paint overspray, greasy hands, even the occasional fall from a forklift - and these are no different, but they are very durable and clean up well.

I bought these for an outdoor club to use during events. When they arrived I passed out sets to have tested by various members. Some of the members lived about 1.5 to 2 miles from each other and were able to use the radios over that distance. They appear to be rugged with a short antenna that would be difficult to break. I like that they charge by Mini-USB so they don't all have to be returned to a single drop charger when we are doing a multiple day or overnight event.
