Purchased for my husband. He said these are what he wanted for his work crew. Makes communicating with his crew easy and the range is what he was looking for.
Love this rugged radio. We have chickens coops and live where coyotes are plentiful. We use this radio at night to keep coyotes away. Since we live in Northern Nevada, during the winter time we do get snow. This radio has no problem working in very cold temperatures. We tried other "waterproof or water resistant radios but they normally only work for a few months. Not so with this radio! We love that it works on various opts such as plugged into a outlet, runs on "C" batteries or you can charge the included rechargeable lithium batteries.
Kept kids entertained for a solid month.
