I got mine a few weeks ago and using a smiley antenna which I highly recommend! We used these at my previous job. Durable as hell in an industrial environment being dropped on concrete and stepped on often.
work fine great sounds, really nice radio, after two days with this radio at work and using on a repeater I can recommend this radio. The range has doubled on both repeaters and simplex and the clarity is top shelf.
Great feel in the hand. Perfect size between too small and too big. The noise reduction feature works well in the car with the windows rolled down. The speaker is plenty loud to hear over highway noise doing 65mph
I was able to communicate with my other user in an urban environment. Both users were able to communicate through the radio in 2 different scenarios. Scenario 1: We were not within the line of sight, 10 blocks apart from each other, standing by the window with tactical antennas extended all the way out. Scenario 2: Radio comms were made inside an office building, 10 stories apart from each other, while 1 person is riding in the elevator and the other user stayed inside the office. Good product! The product feels sturdy in hand! I'd definitely recommend this to others!
