Yes, you can remove the screws and take out the battery. The battery is pluggable.

Yes, RB48 portable FRS two-way radio directly talks with Retevis all 22-channel FRS radios and Retevis all 16-channel FRS radios on channels 1-5, such as RT22, RT21, H-777, etc.

RB48 can't talk with RB48P directly because they have different CTCSS/DCS settings. You can turn off CTCSS/DCS, and RB48 can talk with RB48P directly. In the standby state of direct call mode, press the [MENU] key twice, adjust the CTCSS/DCS number to "00".

Please don’t worry, this is because the VOX function is turned on. In the standby state of direct call mode, press the MENU key 4 times. VOX will be displayed on the screen, and you can set the VOX level.

In the standby state of direct call mode, press the MENU key 8 times, and the screen will display "U1". Press the Up or Down key to select ON or OFF. Press the PTT key to save the current settings and exit the menu.

Please don't worry, because there is a plastic protective film on the screen of RB48. You can tear it off and use the RB48 walkie talkie normally.

RB48 is equipped with a 2.5 mm audio jack that can be connected to the RB48 exclusive earpieces.

RB48 two-way radio talks with Retevis all 22-channel FRS radios, and also talks with Retevis all 16-channel FRS radios on channels 1-5, such as RT22, RT27, H777, etc.

Retevis RB48 Waterproof Walkie Talkies have 2 PTT buttons. One is on the front of the walkie talkie, and the other is on the side. Both PTT buttons can be used for transmission, suitable for different work needs.

RB48 two-way radio provides up to 300,000 square feet of long-distance signal range, which can pass through 25-story steel and concrete buildings, ensuring stable and clear transmission.
