These Walkie talkies are powerful and have loud and clear speakers. Range good in rural areas and much less in urban environments. The radios work, and I feel they are a good value based on the sound quality. The radios are very rugged and have good instructions. Programming software is available for download, and after programming these with the proper frequencies and settings, these radios really shine. These radios are also repeater capable with programming. Battery life is above average. I really like the color.
I bought the Retevis RB48 Pro set for job-site coordination and weekend trail rides, and these things just deliver. The build feels truly “heavy duty”—no creaks, no flimsy doors—and the IP67 waterproofing isn’t just marketing. One unit took a dunk in a puddle during a downpour; I shook it off and it kept talking like nothing happened. Range has been excellent for my use: clear, low-noise audio across a large warehouse and around a wooded property with a few hills. Battery life is another strong suit; I can run a full workday with frequent check-ins and still have juice to spare. Setup was dead simple. Out of the box, all units were already on the same channels and matched tone settings, so we were communicating in minutes. The controls are big and glove-friendly, the speaker is loud enough to punch through equipment noise, and the included belt clips actually hold. I also appreciate the charging solution—it keeps things tidy at the end of the day and makes it easy to rotate units without hunting for cables.
My roommate is training for a solo camping trip and has been testing his tent set up in our yard. We gave him one walkie and we have the other at the house. The walkies have a great range as he is off in the woods on our property and we can still hear him clearly. If you haven't used the walkie in a bit, they vibrate when someone calls in. The screen also lights up when someone is talking to you. This helps with making sure you aren't missing a call coming in. The walkies come with a lot of great options for carrying/wearing: a belt clip, wrist strap, and a stretchy cord with a carabiner. They work right out of the box and there was no set up required. The charging base makes it really easy to remember to charge them but they also have a usb-c charging port whcih is nice. They seem very well constructed and seem like they would be good for surveying or road work crews.

I’ve personally confirmed flawless communication with the H-777, RB48, and RT68 models. The included instructional videos make the syncing process easy: with the RB48 Pro turned off, you hold the PTT button along with either the up or down arrow, then power it on while the other walkie is already on. The RB48 Pro will automatically sync settings with the other unit. If you ever want to return to factory presets, just navigate to the RESET option in the menu. This feature gives you amazing channel selection options as well as compatibility with other walkie talkies on FRS and GMRS frequencies. Keep your instruction manual as well for all frequency settings and options. We love these walkies for their look, durability, long battery life, great range, and overall feel. A fantastic investment for anyone needing reliable and rugged communication gear.
