everything came in two boxes with clear and concise instructions. after charging i was up and running in no time. great for use around the property or for a day hike
I have probably 50+ handheld radios of all types. Most are between $20-$150. This set of radios I’d say has the clearest audio of any I have ever used. They talk much farther than any other handhelds as well until you start getting into legitimate “dual band” radios with bigger antennas. For a standard handheld, these are by far the best. Very clear audio, crisp breaking squelch, very durable, etc. Fantastic reception. Great battery life. And came with one giant 6 radio charger. Great for businesses or smaller groups of people. Camping, you would be able to talk multiple campgrounds away easily.
The build quality is not quite what I would like but they work ok. Decent range and volume. The controls are a bit wiggy. You’re likely to change the volume or channel inadvertently. You have to balance this with the fact that Motorolas are 4 times an expensive. So you have make a value judgement based on your budget and needs. These are a viable alternative.
