The handheld radios are okay. They're pretty clunky in the hand.
Are as described
For the price, it's a decent ratio.I'm a ham and GMRS licensee, I purchased it for my son so he could listen to the dispatch frequency for the local emergency squad that he's a member of because it's cheaper than a scanner.
I bought this to take out on bike rides incase the weather turns. Wanted something a little cheaper just in case. Well this radio fits the bill. I can hit most of my local repeaters and simplex a friend 2-3 miles away over far from perfect terrain. Build is better than the other over seas brand.
This Radio is awesome. Screen is very easy to read. Nice feel in the hand the receive audio is very good. Much better than the cheaper Baofeng radios that I have had many. I love the charging method that is has a Type-C charging port ,and can charge by my bank power when i am outdoor.
This inexpensive radio is worth buying. Surprisingly, the sensitivity is better then my Motorola HT750. The audio quality sounds nice and not tinny like some other cheap radios. The dual watch works great. Is scans channels relatively fast.
Once you have the menu structure in your hand, it is quite easy to use. Programming with Chirp also works without any problems, depending on the intended area of application, you have to activate it beforehand. The feel is very good and the workmanship is solid. The battery has a very large capacity, which makes a long run time possible. The battery can also be charged with USB-C, which can be important in portable mode. Good device at a fair price, then.
the C2 radios are well made and easy to pairing. The instructions are clear. the type-c charging is great useful functions at outdoor and they work well with clear audio.
Apparently this is a new GMRS model. Ordered to see what's what. C2 walkie talkies brings users an unparalleled sound quality experience, built-in AI noise reduction chip, equipped with 10-level noise reduction, and also designed 9-level squelch function and microphone gain to reduce noise, enhance communication clarity, and bring clear and bright communication to enterprises around the clock Coming fresh from China
I'm thrilled. The performance figures match those on paper. The device has a professional, very cleanly finished housing and can be charged directly on the device via USB-C. What more could you want?
Hi everyone. The devices are simply great. I use them every day and have really convinced me.
First up, nice feel to the radio. It's made from pretty tough plastic (although i manged to put a good gouge in one screen pretty quickly). The buttons are more plastic than rubber coated, but have a good feel to them with a solid click. I do love it when I can feel and hear the click. The screen is a good, clear LCD screen (as opposed to those horrific TFT screens that disappear in anything approaching sunlight). It was a little dim, but you can bump it up. Operation is very standard for a GMRS radio. Push-to-talk on the side, with a keypad to help control and direct the radio. I like the programmable buttons, including a couple of extra function buttons on the radio, P1 & P2. You can charge it through the charging port, or, through USB-C (a must have for all handheld radios in my opinion).
The Retevis C2 is a very good GMRS radio. In fact, I have a couple of Retevis RT76P radios that I think this is going to replace. They've been work horses around the house for almost four years, but these are just a step up in general.
They seem to have a great build quality, have a great feature set, a nice bright LCD screen, and work great. I like that they have rechargeable batteries and include a nice charging station. I'm very happy with this set, and would recommend them to others.
This set of Retevis C2 Walkie Talkies is a great way to communicate on various types of work sites, camping or hiking trips, or any scenario where cell phone communication is not possible or practical.
You can add the tones to keep the noise down. For the price these radios are great and again, these are GMRS only radios and with 1 license from the FCC. All of your immediate family can use 1 call sign. Great radio for the price and with the 4 pack, I gave each and one of my family each a radio.
Programmed the radio to a local repeater which is about 44 miles away and was able to hit the repeater with a loud and clear audio. On simplex the radio has about 1 mile range with the factory antenna which is decent and though there is a lot of local traffic around where I live.
This radio kit comes pretty much with everything you need to start talking on GMRS. The radio comes with a 110volt adapter, USB cable, charging cradle, and earpiece that plugs into the side of the radio (K1 type port) and right below the mic/ear port is a USB Type-C port.
Got these 4 pack GMRS radios for the family to use. These radios are for GMRS use only and is perfect for the family use. The radio is well built and has a sturdy feel to it. The PTT button has a positive feel to it when you press down to talk.
I now have both of these one showed up late so I had to postpone my test. Great radios but for heaven sakes Revetis stop putting tones on every channel. My ultimate goal is to build an entire Revetis repeater system and I'm trying to get 2 of the 25 watt Revetis RT97L units to use on a climate controlled 100 percent duty cycle and the other take with me out in the elements and run them full time because I believe they can handle it and I'm going to video how the system holds up over time. Love Revetis products I've personally gotten several hundred people to get radios and most chose Revetis. My mission is to get more eyes on this brand and company as a whole, great company great products.
