I use these radios for general vehicle to vehicle communication and communicating with team members at church on Sunday morning. My primary use for these radios is on off-roading trails where conditions can be rough and these may be dropped. So far I've had a few drops and have had these out in the rain and covered in mud and have had no problems.

I decided to purchase this set of radios specifically for communication between the bridal for a wedding in the US while in a household, chase vehicle to limo on the highway, and indoor reception venue to the bridal house (separate structure approx. 500 ft away).

I tried them out 11/03/2012 ref'ing a paintball game on a 2 1/2 acre field (mostly trees - about 10% open space - about .2 miles from one end to the other) with no difficulty on a FRS channel (Channel 9, CTCSS Sub-Channel 11). They also communicated well with my FRS radios.

Fairly good distance

I purchased these two way radios because I was taking a trip to Blue Ridge Ga. from Florida. I gave one to my daughter in her truck and I had one in mine. I will have to say they worked better than I expected. We were able to communicate with each other while driving. At on point she was 1.5 miles ahead of me and I was still able to talk. We also used these radios while we were hiking the falls. No problem there.

All these public frequency walkie talkies are pretty similar to one another in terms of performance, and with "6 mile" range are definitely.

I used it camping in a densely wooded area and it worked even when the kids were at the other end of the park - about 0.5-1 mile away.

They have a good range and have been reliable so far. I can be in the house upstairs and my dad can be outside on the other side of the yard past two sheds and it's clear as a bell. We bought it for my father who is older and wants to be outside while I need to be in my office. I'm easy to reach if he falls and I can randomly check on him without having to quit working.

I looked around quite a bit before deciding on this set of walkie talkies. I'm VERY satisfied. We use these on the farm, long distances... they are easy to use, reliable and clear. Great reception. I'm very pleased.

Even though these radios are low price they do a great job. I use them to communicate with other RVs while traveling and they work great. Clear and the distance is great.

I've seen the reviews and wanted to share my experience. First, 4- stars because I've no experience using them long distance. I use them approximately 2-3 times a month, just a bit more during June and July. The versatility of using AAA batteries when battery pack goes out is great. They have also worked with my older Uniden walkie talkies without any problems.

The range and clarity of these radios are pretty good. I have no way to measure it but I suspect that they are overpowered... Battery life is very much average and the battery indicator on the radios does not work... The indicator will show a full state of charge or nearly full but the radios will die... If you turn them off and back on it will show low battery immediately. I seem to get about 3 hours of standby with very minimal use. If you just need a cheap radio and a pinch this is okay but if you are relying on these for a full day's work pick something else.

They are good quality and seem pretty rugid. My kids and I use them to talk to each other. We use em for fun but the sound quality is great very crisp and clear, they go pretty loud too. They have all kinds of features. The reception on them is great they worked at 100 yards just fine. They connect easy and you can do private channels as well. I highly recommend, I can see them doing good in any situation you put them in!

There’s really nothing I dislike about this product. It’s your typical high quality midland two way radio. Fun to use for kids. Thanks to the included privacy codes it adds an extra layer of security to your conversations. It feels rugged but in a good way, it feels really high quality.

I purchased walkie-talkies, to use on a road trip for a family wedding. I've used walkie-talkies before on road trips, so I knew how convenient, and fun they can be!

I purchased these walkie talkies to use on a European cruise so that my wife and I could communicate with each other on the ship and when onshore. Since we didn't have cell phones that would work while we were in Europe, we needed to have communication devices that would be dependable. We weren't disappointed with these walkie talkies.

I use it at home to stay in touch with my wife. I use it at the housing research center in town. I use it while mowing the lawn. It allows others to find me.

I am very pleased with these walkie talkies. These FRS Two-Way radios have sophisticated features, but allow a more simplistic use like regular 'ole talkies. They have very good range, based upon my experience hunting in the mountains of ELK and Cameron counties in PA.
